This was a fun one. First-time homebuyers who are a perfect example of how what you think you want, and what you ultimately decide on can be different. Sometimes the game is to adjust course and pivot in this market.
These two are a great example…and they’re smart.
Sammi living at home in Buck County and Ray renting in the city wasn’t ideal. So they got organized for their home purchase. It was time to start their life together.
Originally they were looking for suburban digs. Warrington… maybe North Wales. The issue was that things were flying off the market and Ray didn’t really know where he was gonna land a new police gig.
We started quickly… then we stopped while Ray conducted his search for a new police station.
Then we reconsidered. Ray was a cop in the city and so why not just live there?
The city has a ton of great little neighborhoods where bidding wars are less of a thing. Unfortunately, we found an awesome house but there were multiple offers on it.
We deployed our real estate team’s bidding war strategy and process and landed the home WITH inspections. Got assist monies which helped grease the skids on some deferred maintenance. Those monies were then converted into a new deck!
Ray’s being a self-proclaimed handyman, he would handle the rest.
Truth: It was Sammi most of the time, “Oh Ray can fix that!” or “I’m not worried about it… Ray can handle it”
Ray met his match with homeownership when he locked himself inside the garage when attempting to fix the door. Otherwise, he has been able to take care of a lot of things.
Ray is also a very smart man because he put a ring on Sammi’s finger over the holidays.
One of the perks of this gig is getting to see people start and build their lives together.
Can’t wait to see what’s next. Go Eagles and congrats!
